After 4 years in our Historic Designs home, we still feel very fortunate to have happened upon this home and this builder. The solid construction, attention to detail, added touches, and truly unique and comfortable feel of our home has made for a warm and friendly environment in which to raise our family and to entertain friends. In addition, Jim Eigel has been close by for any adjustments, additions, and referrals for continued improvements to our investment. We find his work, follow-up and value to be exceptional. We totally renovated the main level of our house in 2003.  Jim Eigel and Historic Designs did a fantastic job for us throughout the project.  In a renovation like the one we did, a number of unforeseen problems inevitably appear.  Jim handed these professionally and fairly.  Additionally, Jim provided several field solutions which added value to the process by increasing quality and decreasing costs.  Jim is a great listener and is extremely trustworthy, two character traits that are critical in selecting a builder. Jim -- Just a quick note to tell you how happy we are with the quality and craftsmanship of our new home.  Your attention to detail and quality is very much appreciated -- every time we entertain the guests say " Wow , who was your builder ?".    As you remember , we had some complex items to build and install ( antique 2' X 2' beams in the family room , large retaining walls , etc ) and you put it all together perfectly for us.  We couldn't be happier.
